Reporting to the Head of Development, the Digital Systems Administrator is responsible for maintaining, supporting and enhancing  AWS infrastructure. We are searching for a Systems Administrator who possesses the business and technical intelligence capable of making an immediate impact with our Technology and Innovation team. This person will research, build and support projects enterprise wide.

 ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES 

•Hands on configuration of AWS including users, roles, security, profiles, workflow rules, custom objects, etc.

•Research and evaluate new technologies.

•Support operational activities of systems; root cause analysis; systems validation; performance tuning, automation, and capacity management.

•Follow established procedures to build and install hardware and software systems.

•Create and/or provide feedback on policies and procedures.

•Work to improve monitoring and alerting activities.

•Document policies and procedures.

•Respond to server alerts and document consistent errors.

•Monitor backup jobs and resolve backup failures.

•Experience in application security development, version control, bug tracking.

•Excellent analytical skills, strong verbal and written communication skills. 

•Ability to interact with business users and IT colleagues.

 EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum Experience & Essential Knowledge)

•Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or MIS.

•Linux+ certification or 1-3 years' experience with Linux Administration.

•Experience with scripting (bash, PowerShell).

•1-3 years' experience with SQL.

•Experience with monitoring, alerting, and analytics tools.

•Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. administering Amazon Web Services (AWS) preferred).

•Previous experience with migration of applications and data from any platform to cloud environments.

•Capable of writing and updating concise and logical technical documentation, primarily using Microsoft Visio

•Comfortable working with team members at all levels, including senior executives and decision makers to define business requirements and systems goals
