Technical Consultant (Permanent) Dublin 12

What will you be doing:

As a Technical Consultant you will be working with our wider professional services team delivering various projects across multiple customers. The role of the TC is critical to our consulting business, and will be instrumental in selling and delivering client projects. The role is client facing, providing independent and expert knowledge to projects across a wide range of industry sectors.

 

•         Technical delivery of projects, with some design, and planning when appropriate.

•         Delivering IT solutions with exciting leading edge technologies 

•         Be a “trusted expert advisor” when needed - maintaining detailed industry knowledge.

•         Client Professional Services delivery leveraging your key skills.

•         Keep technology certifications current and up to date

 

What skills will you have:

Ideally over 2 years’ experience of working as a Technical Consultant within a professional services environment, including 3+ within the IT industry

  • Experience in implementing IT services
  • Experience in the implementation of 3 following:

Core Skills

Cloud Solutions and Transformation Services (preferably Azure)

Microsoft Office365 - email, Lync, Yammer, One-Drive

Active Directory

Nice to have

Microsoft EM+S

Virtualisation, VMware and Microsoft Hyper-V

Knowledge of networking and security components

Back-Office remote monitoring and management support solutions.

 

  • A third level qualification in IT or relevant experience
  • Professional ICT accreditations.

  • Strong communications skills
  • Ability to identify the best way to solve technical problems paying attention to limitations in software and hardware, and assess and select the technologies needed to support them.
  • Good team member with good communication skills at all levels of seniority.
  • Good organizational and administrative skills.

  • The ability to develop relationships with staff and clients.
  • Flexibility and adaptability.
  • Strong business/customer focus or awareness.
  • The ability to work independently and with relatively little oversight; good self-motivation.
