QA Lead Test Automation Engineer
Role:
Our client is one of the leading providers of financial services in Ireland. They are currently looking for a QA Lead Test Automation Engineer.
As a Lead QA Test Automation Engineer, You will be leading a team of test automation engineers, managing and running the automated test packs according. Scale existing or introduce new test automation frameworks in line with our client's test automation strategy.
Responsibilities:
* Introduce or maintain existing test automation framework to ensure continued maintainability, robustness and scalability
* Familiar with Agile testing and experience with UI, API and Integration testing
* Experience of putting in place industry's testing best practice, new innovations and established techniques
* Experience in developing and implementing test automation strategy for the entire organisation
* Experience in defining and delivering high-quality software
* Create new test cases and link them to our Test Management System based on new features
* Design, code, test and maintain automation test scripts for applications across test environments.
* Research, investigate and put forward suggestions on ways to scale existing automation framework capabilities
* Embedding best practice in development teams and ensuring all defects that arise from testing are created with detailed information and logged accordingly in Jira.
* Ensure all major stakeholders are informed of critical issues that may block software releases.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience.
* 3-4 years of professional test automation engineer experience
* Comfortable working in a fast paced and challenging environment
* Strong problem solving ability and expert knowledge of software development lifecycle.
* Experience in banking and associated financial industries.
* Strong leader and clear communicator - ensuring team collaborate to deliver the best quality software
* Experience with web UI technologies: JSP, Struts, JQuery, JavaScript, CSS and XPath.
* Understanding of XML and JSON.
* Familiar with modern tool chains: Git, Maven, Bamboo, Jenkins and SoapUI.
* Experience working with test automation frameworks for both web and mobile (Android and IOS)
* Knowledge of DEVOPS, continuous integration and continuous delivery principles.
* Knowledge of ROBOT, Katalon Studio, Selenium Web Driver, SPOCK
* Knowledge of Java, Groovy, Python, JavaScripts, JSON
* Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
* Ability to work in a dynamic fast paced work environment.
* Able to adapt to new concepts and situations quickly.
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
* Proven team player.
Nice to Have(s):
* ISTQB Advanced Level Technical testing certification will be an advantage
