Business Analyst
My client is an institution of the European Union, they are currently on the lookout for an Buisness Analyst, based in Brussels.

Responsibilities of the Buisness Analyst Role:
• Provision of expert advice and assistance, evaluation studies, architectural considerations, and best practices in database management systems, web content management and business process management.
• Study the relevant project.
• Assistance in the implementation of software engineering methodologies.
• Elaboration of functional and non-functional requirements and business case analysis.
• Business process modelling.
• Provide user support, including business responses to operational and business inquiries for ECRIS.
• Draft project report, review, and disseminate within the project community.
• Draw project statistics on a regular basis.
• Follow up technical inquiries.
• Read, analyse, comment and review project change requests.
• Contribute to the technical review of submitted Quotes by the Contractor.
• Supervise, coordinate, review and assess the Contractor's testing activities.
• Perform functional and integration testing activities on a stand-alone instance of the application.
• Contribute to the agendas of various project meetings. Attend project meetings with the relevant stakeholders.
Required needed for the Buisness Analyst Role:
• Take initiatives where appropriate.
• Work pro-actively, independently, enjoy exercising some responsibility, and to find and propose creative solutions to problems.
• Proven track-record in IT projects.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to deliver expected quality results.
• Required to liaise and to communicate well – orally and written.
• Professional experience and a proven track-record in business- and requirements analysis, and IT Infrastructure operations are a must.
• Possess knowledge of IT development standards and of the interconnection of Information Systems.
• 12+ years of experience with RUP, UML, MS Visio or equivalent project methodology. In-depth knowledge of web front-end technologies (HTML, Java, CSS, etc.), XML, XSD and relational databases is required.
• Proven experience in MS Access and MS Excel is required to produce project financial statements and annual statistical reports.
