Data Analyst
About this role:
The Data Analyst will work within the organisation and collaborate with the various business units to provide analysis, reporting and insights in order to help drive better business decisions. The data analyst will be responsible for providing advice to all departments and implementing day-to-day tactical and strategic analysis designed to enable the company to achieve organisational objectives.
Responsibilities:
* Support the Analytics Manager in the development of strong relationships within the organisation
* Develop reports and analysis to support the strategic and operational requirements of the organisation
* Perform ad hoc analytical requests and research projects associated with the goals of the organisation
* Create or convert existing MI to automated reports using a suite of Business Intelligence tools
* Create or modify existing data extracts in SQL to support different teams within the organisation
* Work with the Analytics manager to understand data objectives and goals within the organisation
Requirements:
* Minimum 2.1 in a relevant (finance/statistics/mathematics/computer science) bachelor's degree programme
* 3 years' experience in a similar role, demonstrating strong Analytical and problem‐solving skills
* Highly proficient in SQL and MS Office Excel
* Use of programming languages (R, Python, Scala) would be ideal
* Experience building reports and visualisations with Business Intelligence tools, e.g. MicroStrategy, QlikView, Tableau
* Database infrastructure knowledge; comfortable working in large data sets and integrating multiple data sources
* Enjoys working within a team environment
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
