Network Engineer (NOC) Level 2

They operate cutting edge fibre optic infrastructure capable of delivering nearly unlimited bandwidth to the majority of towns and cities in Ireland. Their commitment to providing a best in class service has lead them to require a Network Operations Centre Engineer (Level 2) to join their team based in Limerick. An excellent working environment, coupled with exposure to some of the best technology in Ireland is available to a NOC Engineer with 3 years commercial experience.

Role and Responsibilities:

* Provide 2nd level Support for my clients NOC team within service line agreements
* Provide feedback and mentoring to 1st level support
* Keep end users updated on open incidents/tickets
* Execute network configurations changes, migrations and upgrades
* Oversee the ongoing maintenance of facilities across the network

Skills required

* 3 years' experience in working in a networking, telecommunications, telco environment
* Subject matter expert in DWDM, MPLS, wireless, Ethernet, and IP
* Experience in testing or validating carrier network design and rollout
* Cisco/Juniper/Nokia- IP/Ethernet certification
* Excellent communication skills both internally with peers, and externally with clients.
* Understanding of Co-location Build (Power, Aircon, batteries, BMS)
* Understating of transmission and routing & switching network principles
* ITIL knowledge desirable
