System Administration & Support
My Client is part of a leading global financial services firm, providing financial services and advice to a wide range of clients.

Responsibilities of the System Administration & Support Role:
• Configuration, build & installation of workstations, laptops & server infrastructure.
• IT end user support, covering hardware and software for laptops, desktops & Office 365 deployments.
• Use issue tracking system to record and resolve user incidents within specified SLA's.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues by applying technical expertise, product knowledge, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Management of backups, disaster recovery and security. Also, you will need experience in disaster recovery planning and testing, virtualisation, networking with previous project management experience a bonus.


Desired Knowledge Skills and Experience for the System Administration & Support Role:
• Knowledge Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange and Group Policy.
• Excellent Windows client OS skills - Windows 7&10.
• Experience troubleshooting Financial Services Applications (e.g. Bloomberg, Fidessa) and liaising with third party support teams to resolve issues.
• Basic Networking knowledge – Patching, installation of switches/routers.
• Experience in Microsoft technologies working in a large enterprise environment.
• Excellent Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.
• Windows Server 2008\2012\2016 implementation & administration skills.
• Knowledge of backup solutions and principles.
• Proven analytical and problem resolution skills and methodologies.
• Ability to work on own initiative and work well within a team.
• Mobile Device Management – troubleshooting and administration.
• Experience administering print management software and printing devices.
• Procurement of IT equipment, liaising with vendors on support and contract renewals.
• Administration and troubleshooting IP voice systems.


Preferable knowledge Skills and Experience for the System Administration & Support Role:
• MCSA, MCP certified.
• Knowledge of SCCM.
• Knowledge of VMWare/ESX administration.
