Our client is a highly regarded International Financial Services and Fund Management Company based in the centre of Dublin. Following a recent merger with another company, our client has grown substantially and is in the process of acquiring a much larger IT Infrastructure.  They now have an immediate requirement for an application Architect to play a key role in this transformation.

The Application Architect will oversee the design/upgrading of the company's own software and third party applications required by 300+ users across 7 sites globally, working with the solutions manager (Applications) to ensure optimal deployment of same. 

The successful candidate will also be required to interpret, use and apply information to support a range of strategic activities, particularly those involved in the transition and transformation of applications across the group.

  Essential Candidate Requirements

·       5+ Years' experience in a similar role

·       Degree in Computer Science/IT, Telecommunications or Equivalent of same based on combination of experience/professional certification received while working

·       Proficient in one or more modelling standards such as UML, Archimate, BPMN.

·       Qualifications in architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachmann, or appropriate equivalent

·       Experience with Modelling tools such as Archi, Visio, or other

·       Good understanding of application development, MCSD preferable

·       Previous hands on experience of working in application development and support

·       Right to work in Ireland and the Broader European Union without the need for Visa or Critical Skills Permit

Highly desirable

While not essential, one or more of the following would be very advantageous to prospective candidates:

·       Previous experience working on GDPR projects

·       Previous experience working on projects in the Financial services and/or fund management industry

·       Competent in the installation, management, use and/or troubleshooting of the following applications:  Apex 247, Advent Geneva, E-Front, Fund Recs, Metrosoft, PFS Paxus, Velocity Trade (FX), Investran OR Appropriate Equivalent Fund management Software applications
