Responsibilities for the Systems Administration Role:
• Work within a team to deliver Managed Services to our customer(s), to required SLAs.
• Provide and manage proactive maintenance and monitoring on customer systems.
• Share and document best practices with other team members to enhance the quality and efficiency of support services.
• Effectively interact with other members of the team, service and customer to provide solutions to technical issues.
• Deliver services in line with Incident, Problem and to a lesser extent Change Management processes.
• Manage issues or outages to resolution, identify key points of contact, and manage communications within the delivery and customer teams.
• Update Incident, Request, Problem and to a lesser extent Change tickets in the ticketing system.
• Maintain relevant Asset and Configuration Item records in the system.
• Proactively manage tasks such as monitoring, replacement of disks or batteries, etc.
• Maintain configuration and process documentation.
• This role requires a support engineer coming from a senior deskside background with some server experience.


Primary responsibility for ongoing support, monitoring and management of:
• Server and UPS hardware in branch offices.
• WAN monitoring and co-ordinating with 3rd party to resolve incidents
• Major Incident Notifications
• Troubleshooting and assisting where deskside resources require.
• Troubleshooting and resolution for Outlook and OS plug-ins.
• Assisting deskside resource in initial backup issue troubleshooting.
• Restores of user data from Commvault and BackupExec backups.
• Work with other team members for support of Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2012, Configuration of targets in monitoring software.


Mandatory Technical Skills and Experience for the Systems Administration Role:
• Minimum 2+ years proven experience in a desktop support background.
• Aptitude for solving problems and acting on own initiative.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and being an effective communicator, able to deal with people at all levels, both within and outside the business.
• Ability to suggest alternative solutions, innovate and use experience, to identify shift left opportunities.
• Technical skills/certifications: Windows 7, Windows 10, Office 2010, AD & Exchange User and Mailbox management, Windows Server 2003/2008/2012, Good Networking understanding.
