Ruby on Rails Developer/ Dev Ops Engineer

Description
My Client is looking for the right candidate to join their team developing their services using Ruby-on-Rails, PostgreSQL and Elasticsearch. The main day to day responsibilities’ of this role will be Ruby on Rails development.
This is a fantastic opportunity to fast track your career working directly with the Director of Software Development.
Day to Day;
• Be part of a team that works on our 4 leading products.
• Developing new applications in Ruby on Rails.
• Influence the roadmap and direction our products take.
• Build highly available and scalable applications and infrastructure.
• Place your own changes into production as part of our continuous deployment, incremental releases.

Requirements
• Strong in Ruby on Rails in a production environment.
• Strong in building scalable hosting infrastructure on AWS.
• Familiarity of TDD with RSpec & FactoryBot.
• Previous experience in a DevOps role would be beneficial

Ideal Candidate
• Have some familiarity with PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Puma & Sidekiq
• Enthusiastic about learning and growing in the company.
• Have some familiarity with writing APIs for consumption by NodeJS (React)
• Have experience in cooperating with customers.
