TalentScope Recruitment Solutions, on behalf of our client in Dublin City Centre, are recruiting for a Junior Linux/Windows Engineer for a permanent role in their IT Team.
Role
In this role you will be providing internal (local and remote based) support to company users and working on hardware, software and networking issues.You will be problem-solving technical issues and will have exposure to some fantastic systems/trouble-shooting topics and a great team environment.
Skills Required
*1-2 Years of previous experience in support Linux AND Windows Systems (please note Linux is essential - if you do not have Linux experience you will not be relevant to this role) Experience should be recent.
*An understanding of Networking technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, DHCP)
*Excellent troubleshooting skills
*Problem Solving Skills
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills
*Knowledge of Firewalls/Security
*Knowledge of Virtualisation
Third Level Degree in IT is essential to this role.
The role will require some flexibility in terms of working hours occasionally and may include a small amount of overseas travel.
Candidates should be currently eligible to work in Ireland/EU (stamp 4 permit) and should be based locally for face to face interview.
