Senior Frontend Engineer 

Our client has created a centralized platform which helps Students, Academia, Business and Government collaborate to transform and scale the workforce of the future. 

Due to continued success and growth, they are looking for an experienced Frontend Engineer to join their talented and growing team. 

Requirements 

● Excellent knowledge of JavaScript and proficiency in any modern JavaScript framework

● Demonstrable knowledge of web standards, performance, accessibility 

● Experience integrating client applications with RESTful APIs

 ● Ability to write scalable and maintainable CSS

 ● Unit testing experience (we use Jest)

 ● Git version control

 ● Strong interpersonal skills - comfortable with communication via phone, email, Slack and in-person

● Comfortable working in an Agile development environment 

● BA/BS degree in Computer Science or a related technical subject, or equivalent practical experience 

Nice to have

 ● Exposure to the React / Redux ecosystem 

● AngularJS

 ● Experience with CSS methodologies such as BEM / SMACSS

 ● Node.js 

● Webpack

● Exposure to full stack technologies, especially Java (Grails), Jenkins and AWS

● Familiarity with the Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence etc) ● An eye for design and exposure to modern design tools such as Sketch

● QA automation experience (especially ​Cypress.io​)

● Experience working as part of a distributed team
