Security Administrator / Network Engineer 

Key areas of Work and Potential Tasks:

o   Responsible for maintaining, supporting, developing and in some cases, designing fully integrated security networks (Firewalls/Web and Email Filters etc.) within and/or between organisations.

o   Ensure the integrity of high availability network infrastructures to provide maximum performance for their users.

o   Troubleshoot technical issues to resolve connectivity/ performance issues.

o   Responsible for the installation of/or upgrade of software/firmware and hardware.

o   Experience in all aspects of Unified Communications best practices, hardware and operating systems.

o   Experience in network voice architectures, network protocols, wired and wireless technologies necessary.

o   Examples under this role/skillset include the following – Fortinet, Palo Alto, Checkpoint and Cisco. This is not an exhaustive list and 

·       Level of Experience Required:

o   Minimum of 5 years demonstrable experience required. Respondents must demonstrate that their proposed resource has a minimum of 5 years’ experience working with and managing a similar environment to that of the Defence Forces as described above.

·       Skill and competencies required:

o   Palo Alto and/or Checkpoint and/or Fortinet and/or Ciscocertifications.

o   Native or Fluent English speaker.
