DevOps Engineer
A leading provider of innovative healthcare solutions and the fastest growing software technology company based in Cork is looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join their team.
The DevOps Engineer will work alongside a fun and highly motivated team of cross functional engineers (Development, UI/UX designer, QA, DevOps) delivering web, mobile and desktop application stacks in a physical or cloud environment using CI/CD pipelines and monitoring tools, improving reliability, increasing efficiency and minimizing downtime.

You as a Senior DevOps Engineer will:
• Design, implement, test and support agreed-upon infrastructures
• Develop and deploy required scripts for performed tasks
• Automate activities to eliminate in-efficiencies or manual deployment processes, wherever possible
• Prepare and deploy all agreed deliverables
• Perform and document configuration management activities
• Analyse application issues and debug applications when needed
• Prioritize requests from operations, development and product teams
• Identify bottlenecks, and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues
• Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
The requirements for the DevOps Engineer:
• 3+ years of architectural experience in a DevOps or Cloud Infrastructure Engineering Role
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent years of professional work experience
• Must have real-world demonstrated expertise in implementing CI/CD pipelines
• Expertise in developing infrastructure for enterprise web applications and APIs on AWS
• 2+ years of experience with Continuous Integration pipelines and tools such as TeamCity, Jenkins, or similar for .NET preferred
• 2+ years of experience with Continuous Delivery pipelines and tools such as Octopus Deploy, or similar for .NET preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience with GIT (including branching & merging strategies)
• Minimum 1 year of experience in all phases of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile development methodologies
• Experience in debugging
• Experience with build tools such as MSBuild
• Experience with containers and containerizing new applications (e.g. Docker and/or AWS ECS)
• Experience with server administration/deployment on IIS
• Proficiency with scripting languages
It is desirable from the DevOps Engineer:
• At least 2 years’ experience with software development (C#/.NET preferred)
• At least 1 year of experience with database administration (SQL Server preferred)

• Atlassian solutions such as Jira and Confluence
• Raygun
• New Relic
• Kubernetes
• Prometheus
• Grafana
• PagerDuty
• Chef, Puppet, Ansible or similar
