Mechatronic Engineer

My Client is an agricultural technology company that uses machine learning to turn visual,
environmental and biometric information into actionable data for poultry producers. Iamus is
integrating sensors, robotics and data analytics to restore over $4.5B that is annually lost
through human inefficiencies in poultry production. Our solutions enable poultry companies to
undertake data-driven interventions, reducing inefficiencies in food production and enabling
more profitable, effective, and safer working environment for farmers supplying the industry. To
achieve this goal we require the skills of a mechatronic engineer to join our growing team. The
successful candidate will be motivated, eager to learn, hands-on and possess a strong team
ethos.

Key responsibilities:
Researching requirements of sensor based devices for use in uniquely extreme environments.
Rapid construction of site ready prototypes for early evaluation.
Leading the electronic and hardware development of these devices from prototype to large
scale production.
Regular travel to prototype sites in Ireland and SE Asia.
Required Skills:
Degree in an engineering or science faculty.
2-5 years industrial experience.
Demonstrable circuit and PCB design abilities.
Component evaluation, end of life planning and fit for purpose.
Mechanical design for rapid prototype and production parts.
Strong research skills.

Desirable skills:
Software development abilities, using at least one modern OO language.
Experience with agile development processes.
Mechanical design for 3D printing.
