An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Robotic Process Automation Operator / Controller to work on a Robotics Process Automation programme within Pearson.
We have a grand vision of liberating the human workforce from tedious, repetitive tasks, by means of Robotic Process Automation.
Our Robotics Centre of Excellence is a newly established unit providing Robotics as a service for Pearson. We are in a build-up phase where Pearson's ambition within Robotics is high and our ramp-up plans very ambitious.
We are looking for a Robotic Process Automation Developer with an inquisitive nature and will be a self-starter who is able to act independently and have strong scripting, testing, process and data analysis experience. RPA experience would be an asset, though this is not a prerequisite.

The position we offer
You will join the Robotics Centre of Expertise. We are building a robotics factory with the ambition of scaling up and industrializing robotics. The focus will initially be to build a pipeline and to deliver results, primarily with Robotic Process Automation and later we will build the runway for adopting, scaling up and institutionalizing new robotic technologies such as virtual assistants, chat bots and cognitive learning.
The key responsibilities of the will include:

Designing and building Robotic Process Automation (RPA) projects using industry leading RPA tools i.e. Blue Prism
*
Document solution designs.
*
Problem solve issues that arise in day to day running of RPA processes and providing timely responses and solutions as required
*
Develop, maintain and share RPA centre of expertise best practice, methods, tools and templates
*
Providing technical assistance and training to others.
*
Test and monitor RPA solutions
*
Innovative to continuously improve the RPA developed and delivered to clients to bring ingenuity and maximum benefit to the business.
*
Proactively advance knowledge of automation technologies through self-study, hands-on experience, and formal trainings
*
Other Ad hoc duties as required.
Qualifications
Essential Skills /Experience:
*
Strong analytical, problem solving and process assessment skills
*
Some experience of a scripting language e.g. VB Script, C#, Microsoft Excel VBA, Java, .NET, or similar).
*
Good communication and documentation skills
*
Good understanding of software life cycle development process
*
Good project management skills
*
Self-motivated, team player, action and results oriented
Desirable Skills /Experience:
*
Knowledge of Robotic Process Automation tools such as BluePrism, UiPath, Automation Anywhere, etc. Training will be provided if no existing knowledge of these tool exists.
*
Agile experience.
*
An experienced user of Microsoft Office Suite including advanced Excel
