Technical Support Engineer - Dublin CC
My client are looking to expand their highly technical support team with the hiring of an experience level 2 engineer. The support engineer will work directly with enterprise customers from issue right through to resolution whilst also working closely with other internal teams on projects.
The role is hugely dynamic where you'll provide escalation support to engineering on deep product issues as well as getting the chance to experiment with new technologies and work on self-service initiatives.
The company have been hugely successful and have expanded rapidly in their city centre offices. They are quite unique in being a start-up company that turns a profit and have been hugely well received publicly for the quality of their technical work.
Desired Skills/Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in computer science or other relevant discipline
* 3-4 years experience in a Level 2 technical support role
* Knowledge of networking and TCP/IP network configuration
* On call support schedule
* Cisco CCNP Cert
* Unix scripting in shell and python
* Extensive knowledge of both Linux and windows systems
* Experience of a Hadoop ecosystem would be highly desirable.
* Experience with AWS would be an absolute bonus.
