Technical Resolution Manager

itContracting are pleased to be partnering with our client, a global financial leader, in the hiring of a Technical Resolution Manager to lead technical service management, vendor and supplier engagement and incident management across their global infrastructure technologies.

This is a key role within a newly established centre of excellence, focussed on consultancy services and technology delivery to the wider global organisation and to provide best-in-class service capabilities, efficiency, performance, capacity and vendor and supplier engagement.

You will be responsible for managing and closely working with external and internal partners and stakeholders to ensure maximally efficient delivery of enterprise grade infrastructure technologies. The infrastructure platforms in our client serve in excess of 50,000 users and millions of customers globally as well as mission critical services, applications, web estates and critical customer data.

You will work with the business and vendors/suppliers to investigate incidents, resolve issues and problems, suggest and implement improvements and implement and oversee Continuous Improvement Plans and Service Reviews.

You will own SLAs and license agreement and take a lead role in negotiations on new supplier agreements.

Experience:

* A minimum of 10 years demonstrable experience, with at least three years at a senior/management level in IT Operations, Platform Engineering or Infrastructure Management/Delivery role
* Experience within the Financial Services, Banking, Fintech and/or Insurance industry
* You should have worked in large-scale, enterprise ITIL aligned environments, preferably within an MNC
* Experience with Service Delivery disciplines, including Change, Problem, Incident and Release Management
* Extensive experience working within a multi supplier and vendor environment, with responsibility for leading supplier engagement and delivery
* You should have strong working knowledge of enterprise infrastructure technologies, including at least three core platform technologies such as Unix mainframes (AIX, HP-UX, Solaris), Windows/Wintel, and/or Red Hat Enterprise Linux, as well as preferably experience with IBM technologies such as AIX and iSeries, database technologies such as Oracle, SQL and/or DB2 and storage and networking technologies. Experience with Cloud technologies such as Azure and AWS would be an advantage

Please note that occasional international travel may be required in this role.
