TalentScope Recruitment Solutions, on behalf of our client in Dublin City Centre, are seeking applications for a Senior Scala/Python Software Developer with Big Data/Hadoop experience.
Our client is a leading international player in the Mobile Security sector and are hiring this role as part of their Research team in Dublin.
Role
Your role will involve implementing analytic systems to identify and detect security risks and cybersecurity risks in datasets which will help to drive the company's product and strategy agenda. Working with Data Scientists and the Head of the Technology Division you will be researching and prototyping industry-leading solutions.
Skills & Experience Required
*Minimum of 4+ years experience in Software Development - Scala and Python. (Java also applicable)
*Expert Level of experience in the Linux Environment to include configuration, networking, scripting, command-line tools)
*1-2 years of experience in Big Data Tools/Stack - Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Impala
*Database Technologies expertise - mySQL, Hive
*Experience with developer tools - Eclipse, IntelliJ, PyCharm, Git
*Third Level Degree in Technology/Software Engineering
*Exposure to Splunk Development an advantage
*Agile Development experience
*Experience with visualization tools and technologies eg. Tableau
*Telecoms sector experience desirable
