Senior Technical Support Specialist - Middleware
Permanent, Dublin 1
We are currently seeking a Senior Technical Support Specialist - Middleware.
The successful candidate will be part of a Middleware Services Team, which is responsible for support and management of infrastructure, and project deployments, for the full range of Middleware technologies including Citrix, VMWare, Weblogic, Websphere and Cloud hosting services.
This role reports to the Middleware Services Team Leader
The Role will involve:
* Providing senior level support, specialising in Middleware technologies, particularly Citrix, VDI and VMWare
* Infrastructure support for customers in Dublin, London and Germany
* Implementation of system changes, some out-of-hours
* Incident & Problem Management
* Application Deployment, some out-of-hours
* Infrastructure Capacity planning and management
* Participating in 24*7 oncall rota
The ideal candidate will have:
* A third level IT qualification or equivalent IT experience
* A minimum of 7 years IT experience, with 4 years working in a Citrix, VMWare or other Middleware environment
* Strong technical expertise in Citrix/VDI or VMWare/ESX
* The ability to make design decisions and to operate independently
* Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills Disaster Recovery planning and experience
Experience one of the following technologies is essential:
* Citrix / VDI
* ESX / VMWare
Experience in the following technologies would be an advantage:
* SSL Security and Certificate Management
* Apache / IBM HTTP Server
* Weblogic, Websphere, MQ
* LDAP
* SSL Security and Certificate Management
* Cloud technologies
