JOB PURPOSE
We are looking for an Automation Tester to be based at our office in Galway Ireland. This is a 6-month contract roles.
Our software team is looking for smart, creative, energetic testers who love to create business solutions as part of a team of like-minded professionals. Our environment is nimble and fast paced, and your duties will vary. You will have the opportunity to expand and improve your skill set in many advanced areas of knowledge. We create exciting applications across multiple platforms supporting a high performance real-time transaction system.
You will be responsible for testing of tax free applications. This will involve verifying that the application meets the requirements for our web based and mobile solutions.

Employing over 1000 people worldwide, they provide international shoppers, merchants, card acquirers and banks with an expanding range of services, increasingly leveraging the latest mobile technologies.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
- 3+ years of direct QA Engineer / software tester experience in web based (preferably financial) applications
- Experience in writing & executing project test plans and test cases based on business requirements
- Good working knowledge of QA standards, processes, tools and methodologies
SKILLS
- Ideally, hold a third level degree (or equivalent), preferably in business, IT or finance.
- Preferably ISTQB / ISEB (foundation) qualified
- Logical & structured approach to test planning, execution and reporting
- Test automation experience is essential
- Ability to manage workload and to work to deadlines
- Good problem solving & analytical capabilities to identify and diagnose problems
- Ability to work in a team environment and show initiative
- Well-developed written and verbal reporting / communication skills
- Good understanding of HTML and CSS and possible Angular
- Experience with Source Control Tools, Automated build, TFS, Git, Jira, TestRails
- Writing technical documentation.
- Agile development experience
KEY COMPETENCIES
- Work with project managers and stakeholders to understand system requirements & end to end flows
- Develop test strategies and plans
- Create test cases (manual) and where appropriate test scripts for automated testing
- Test application GUI (new functionality and regression baseline)
- Work with team leader to document test exit report & release notes for applications
- Work with external companies to QA our services
- Keep up to date with trends and technology in particular for test and QA
- Ensure that the design of test (both manual and automation) meet the needs & goals of the project.
- Provide regular testing status and progress reports to the IT QA Team Leader and project stakeholders.
- Log and track detailed product defects
- A motivated self-starter who follows best practices
- Great attention to detail
