IT Governance and Risk Manager required for global financial technologies company based in Dublin 18 (beside Green Luas). The role will work with the Head of IT Oversight and Data Governance, and will ultimately ensure an effective IT control and governance environment is operational across all business areas. This is a second line function but will require close working with first line, 1.5 line and IT function resources to be successful.
The successful candidate will either lead or contribute in areas such as:
· Information Security (challenging existing programmes of work and focus)
· IT related policies ownership and implementation
· IT risk management framework documentation
· IT risk assessment and management of key IT risks
· Definition and enhancement as appropriate of IT related outsourcing SLAs and KPI tracking
· Reviewing and enhancing IT related Disaster Recovery plans
· Leading IT Projects oversight and alignment across multiple business lines
· Driving emerging regulatory / best practice guidance and compliance
· Internal and external IT related audit preparation and follow up
· Driving emerging best practices related to IT governance
· Contribute to IT governance committee reporting
Requirements:
· Bachelor's or Master's degree, or equivalent work experience
· Financial services industry experience
· Full IT SDLC experience in a regulated environment
· 7+ years of experience in IT with some risk management experience
· An understanding of IT outsourcing in a regulated environment
· Experience of IT risk management
· Some knowledge of disaster recovery and business continuity planning
· An understanding of Data Governance concepts
· Ability to research and manage multiple initiatives/ projects and deadlines simultaneously
· Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills
