A global client of mine based in the heart of the city centre are looking to hire a passionate QA Engineer for a 6 month daily rate contract


Job Purpose: The QA Engineer will join the QA team working on the QA of my clients products. The role will involve writing test cases, executing test cases, automating test cases and reporting on the results of these tests.


Main Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Develop and agree test plans with Product Manager
  • Plan releases (contents/dates) with Team Leader
  • Write test cases from requirements
  • Execute test cases, track results and log issues
  • Report on the progress of testing per releases
  • Identify test cases for automation
  • Automate test cases using automation tools
  • Maintain and improve the automation suite (tools, tests)
  • Identify and implement improvements to the Automation process
  • Identify and implement improvements to the test process
  • Perform User Acceptance testing with customer
  • Work with Development teams to troubleshoot/resolve defects
  • Work with Support team to handover functionality


Qualifications/ Experience Needed:

The Software Tester candidates should have knowledge and/or experience of some of the following:


  • At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Degree or equivalent in IT course
  • Test Qualification (ISTQB or equivalent)
  • Experience in Functional, Regression, User Interface and User Acceptance Testing
  • Experience with API Testing and Point of Sale Testing
  • Experience with Automation Tools (Sahi, PostMan, Fitnesse, soapUI)
  • Experience with Defect Tracking Tools (Jira)
  • Experience with Test Case Management Tools (TestRail)
  • Experience with Databases (MySql, Oracle, PostgreSQL)
  • Experience with Language .NET
  • Must have Agile experience!

  • Strong numerical skills with exceptional attention to detail skills
  • Good communication skills both written and oral
  • Ability to work independently as well as contributing towards a team environment
  • Ability to meet deadlines and adapt to a changing environment
  • Self-motivated and can work using own initiative
