IT Systems Administrator Kildare
My client is a dynamic and customer focused IT services company with offices in Naas, Co. Kildare and Galway. They are currently seeking a highly motivated IT Systems Administrator Who will service clients both over the phone (70-80%) and by calling out on Client and support visits (20-30%). This is achieved using remote management tools and professional services automation tools. You will work with a team of four in Naas (admin and office, supported by the Technical director (based in Galway and Naas) and the Support manager and colleagues in Galway (Galway team consists of the support manager and four IT system administrators).

As a IT Systems Administrator you should must be a self-starter with the initiative and skills to manage your workload and be able to work on your own imitative to assist client and reach deadlines. If you are interested in a varied and ever-changing role this would suit, as we are looking for somebody who is IT passionate and would be interested in learning new technologies as the company grows and engages new clients (examples, cloud, CRM, SharePoint, web Technologies. ideally somebody who wants to adapt, learn and evolve with the role and new technology.
IT Systems Administrator- the role.
Configuring and managing backup (performing restores, monitoring integrity)
Following procedures and guidelines to install, patch, configure, customize, troubleshoot, upgrade, integrate, secure, and maintain systems
Fully supporting, configuring, maintaining, and upgrading corporate networks and servers.
Installing and integrating new server hardware and applications
Support and administer third-party applications
Ensure network security and connectivity
Monitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput and latency)
Log support calls with third-party vendors
Troubleshooting email delivery
Responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure
IT Systems Administrator -required skills
5 + years’ experience in a similar role
Excellent communication skills
Hands-on experience with UTM Firewalls (Sonicwall) – routing, UTM policies, IPSec VPN setup
Hands-on experience with network devices (managed Ethernet switches, ISP routers)
Experience maintaining VMware and Hyper-V infrastructures
Fluency in configuring and maintaining Windows Server services (DFS, DNS, AD DS, DHCP, ADFS, Printing)
Experience with managed AV solution (Trend Micro WFBS or Officescan)
Knowledge of email flow (SFP, NDR troubleshooting)
Experience with Cloud solutions - Office 365, Azure and Dynamics 365 (one of )
Experience with enterprise class backup solutions (Backup Exec, Azure Recovery Agent)
Experience with Lync/Skype for Business
Experience with MS SQL Server
Good knowledge of Mobile Operating Systems (iOS, Android, Windows)
Working knowledge of MDM platforms (InTune)
Administration of monitoring tools (LogicNow, Pusleway)
PowerShell or command line scripting
Ability to solve problem within Microsoft operating system environment
Full Driving Licence
CCNA or CCNP
MCSA or MCSE (2008R2 or newer)
