Systems Engineer - SAN

As the SAN Engineer you will help plan and scale out existing solutions and capacity plan for future growth. You will also help facilitate all Storage deployments, maintenance, troubleshooting and performance tuning of Storage Arrays used for an award winning application.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in the management and deployment of storage systems supporting MS SQL Server and Hyper-V estates systems in an enterprise environment (1PB+)
• Manage the configuration of storage hardware and software according to best practices
• Support the Database and Systems team members troubleshooting issues and providing guidance in performance tuning
• Configure SAN environments utilising Fibre technologies
• Create and maintain documentation for storage platforms
• Ensure maximum uptime of all storage arrays
Qualifications:
• 3+ years proven experience configuring and managing EMC Storage
• Experience managing and configuring a Commvault backup environment
• Good understanding and knowledge of storage technologies and platforms
• Hands-on experience with SAN fabric zoning and management (Brocade preferred)
• Excellent communications skills to clearly articulate complex technical issues to all levels of the organization (both technical and non-technical).
• Ability to approach problems with a sense of ownership, enthusiasm, and innovation.
Advantage to have:
• BSc computer science/engineering or similar
• Experience with NAS platforms
• Experience in migrating data between storage platforms
