We have an opportunity for a Principal Engineer with software experience including Allen Bradley, robotics & Scada database
You will report to the Engineering Manager with a responsibility for support and ongoing development of automated production lines.
Major Roles & Responsibilities:
• Essential experience required with PLC programmers, motion control sensors, in-line vision systems (cognex in particular), barcode systems, network topology, pc application software, systematic troubleshooting/problem solving skills.
• Programming of Allen-Bradley Controllogix5000 and PLC5, Siemens S7 ControlNet/DeviceNet, Visual Basic applications, Motion Control programming (Servos, AB, Emerson, Lenze), Barcode systems (SICK, DVT).
• Experience of FDA regulations, 21CFR Part 11, Electronic records, electronic signatures and Part 820, Quality system regulation.

Equipment and Software Validation, IQ, OQ and PQ.

• Provide innovative inputs to new production lines in the areas of control, data collection, motive power, robotics and communications.
• Design, develop and implement process improvements on new and existing lines.
• Maintain & improve safety of operation, quality, capacity and reduce cost of manufacture.
• Will abide to Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Policies and any relevant other EHS documentation.
• Will comply with all relevant training required and adhere to relevant associated documentation.
• Follow strict adherence to the requirements of CGMP.
• Actively contribute to the enhancement of compliance initiatives for areas of responsibility.


Degree in Electronic/electrical Eng or Electrical Communications or similar


5-7 years or more experience in SCADA, Allen Bradley {Control Logix & PLC 5}, Siemens or similar PLC programming and control.

Experience of High Volume manufacturing process acquired over 2-3 years. Ability to work as part of a factory critical team to resolve floor issues quickly.

Experience of equipment and software validation.

Experience of Machine Vision Technology, pattern recognition.

Highly desirable skills include, experience with programming of Allen-Bradley Controllogix5000 and PLC5, ControlNet/DeviceNet, Visual Basic applications, Motion Control programming (Sercos, AB, Emerson, Lenze), Barcode systems (WelchAllyn, Microscan).
