Network Engineer Global Data Centre
Amazing opportunity for a Data Centre Network Engineer to join one of the biggest and well-known tech brands in the world. The company are well known worldwide for their truly innovative and inspiring products. They have a number of data centres throughout the US and EMEA regions.
An overview of your role will involve
* Schedule and perform network maintenance, repair and upgrade tasks
* Manage project timelines to support network turn up
* Responsible for asset management of networking gear in data centre
* Document and follow RMA processes and procedures
* Use internal tools and scripts to configure, monitor and repair network equipment.
* Participate in on call activities and follow escalation process to support the infrastructure 24/7
Background Experience
* The successful candidate will have experience with NOC environments and working to SLA's
* Solid experience with routing and switching technologies
* Experience with Enterprise and Service Provider network hardware platforms and architectures
* Solid experience with IPV6 and a good familiarity with Programming/Scripting Languages
* Highly proficient in Linux Operating System
