Senior Java Developer

An exciting permanent position for a Senior Java Developer to work with a leading betting and trading solutions company based in Cork.

The ideal candidate will have 6 years + experience in Java / JEE development and working knowledge of UNIX, Spring, Spring XD, Web Services.

In this senior position you will be working with the newest technologies, frameworks & methodologies.

The Role:

* Examine, design, implementation and support of JEE based applications
* Create high quality, clean and efficient code adhering to agreed standards
* Educate and coach junior team members
* Team member delivering user stories within product sprints
* Technical troubleshooting and problem solving
* Provide and approve technical documentation

The Ideal Candidate:

* At least 6 years Java / JEE development experience
* Strong architecture and design experience
* Experience in high transaction, low latency systems
* Familiar with Microservice Architectures
* Strong database design and implementation experience
* Experience of working within an agile development framework - SCRUM
* Strong UNIX knowledge
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Eligibility to live and work in Ireland
