Network Engineer - Cork
I have an excellent opportunity for a Network Engineer to work with one of my clients based in Cork city centre on a 6-month contract

Duration: 6 Months
Qualifications & Experience
* IT Qualification (Third Level)
* 3+ years relevant experience as a Network Engineer
* Extensive experience in Switches, Firewall, Proxy Servers and VOIP systems
* Network design, implementation, troubleshooting, problem solving, hardware configuration, and performance tuning.
* Experience in TCP/IP networking and technologies such as DNS, OSPF, HTTP& MPLS
* Experience working with Cisco and Juniper routers
Responsibilities:
* Able to design, configure and implement network solutions including Cisco switches, routers, wireless devices and firewalls is essential
* Provide implementation and technical services to the delivery team
* Be the technical lead for assigned implementation projects
* Implement agreed detailed designs in a professional and risk adverse approach
* Attend key project meetings as required and provide input to the project planning process
* Escalated technical support including escalation to vendor support
* Provide as required technical documentation
* Monitoring the network and security infrastructure
