Engineering Technician Consumer Electronics
Opportunity for an experienced engineering technician with a strong interest in Mobile & Personal Devices such as Virtual Reality and 3D equipment to join a global tech provider based in Cork.
As an engineering technician you will be working as part of a global team who are designing and developing the latest technology and devices - which will be used by millions of consumers around the world.
The team design build and test prototype electrical systems for future consumer virtual reality (VR) experiences. You will become part of a team exploring new concepts through fast iterative prototyping.
Your role will involve testing and modifying equipment and Audio with a little bit of design on the side.
Your Profile

* 3rd level education in Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics, Systems Design, or a related discipline
* Previous experience testing and modifying consumer electronics, mobile devices, or 3D /Virtual Reality devices.
* Experience working with one of these technologies: Digital signal processing, real-time image processing, display engineering, or camera modules.
* Self-motivated with ability to work as part of a team
* Previous experience working within a global organisation
* Experience coding in C or any other language would be highly beneficial
