As a Senior Embedded Software Engineer, you’ll be tasked with developing our client’s new platforms and undertaking server management.
Involving yourself in the full software development lifecycle, you’ll play a hands-on role in the requirements planning stages, as well as analysis, design, development, testing and support activities.
Using best in class processes throughout the development process, you’ll ensure that all project tasks are completed in a timely manner and within the required deadlines.
To be considered, you must have:
- At least five years’ software development experience, gained in an embedded environment
- Large system debugging experience
- Experience and an understanding of debugging new PCBs
- Excellent knowledge of C, particularly in the development of embedded or real-time software
- Embedded Linux experience and adaptions for new hardware, including U-Boot, kernel installations, filesystems, BusyBox, Buildroot, drivers, and real time extensions
- Good knowledge of processor technology, especially x86 or ARM architecture
- Large systems debug experience
- A degree in electronics, software engineering or a related IT discipline
Organised and analytical, as a Senior Embedded Software Engineer, you must have fantastic English communication skills with an excellent eye for detail. Great time-management and problem-solving abilities are also key.
X86 Server management experience including BMC, IPMI and power management would be advantageous to your application.
