IT Job - Senior UI/Full Stack Developer - 6 month contract - €450.00 per day - based in Dublin. High potential to be a long term contract.
My client is urgently looking for a talented UI Developer to join the Finance Technology team, based in Dublin with a proven track record working on large scale multi-year enterprise technology programs/projects. This position is for an experienced UI developer with a strong ability to build business-critical systems with a keen eye on stability and performance.
Business Solutions provides global technology solutions for core finance functions such as general ledger, accounts payable, fixed assets, client profitability, corporate tax, planning/forecasting, funds transfer pricing, and regulatory reporting. The team and its business partners are located throughout the world.
You will be working on delivering a strategic technology platform which has an exciting roadmap of future enhancements.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Business Solutions lead in Dublin:
• Rewriting/migrating functionality in some of the existing reference data systems to our strategic platforms.
• Building tools to reduce time to market for on boarding new feeds including data quality monitoring, data reconciliation and automated test tools.
• Adding new features to the core reference data platform to manage data quality and analytics. - Develop new features in our strategic platforms.
• In addition, you will may occasionally be providing third level support for the applications.
• You will also be expected to gain an understanding of the business data domain and perform analysis when necessary.
Required Skills:
• Java/J2EE ideally (5 years plus) Spring
• Hibernate/MyBatis/other ORM tool - Angular JS (1/2) JavaScript and JQuery
• 3 years of experience in Web UI development/related services - Unit testing (JUnit/Karma/Jasmine)
• Tomcat/WebLogic/ Experience writing basic SQL queries
Desired Skills:
• Jira or familiarity with other task tracking tools
• web development essentials CSS/CSS3/HTML5
• Experience with NodeJS and UI build tools (Gulp/Grunt)
• Jenkins/Hudson Continuous Integration
• experience developing with Kendo UI is an advantage – Subversion - REST services
• Knowledge of Agile software development practices - Exposure to Regulatory reporting systems - Previous experience at a Bank would be beneficial (but not essential) with experience in finance, treasury or capital markets
