IT Systems & Network Administrator
Waterford
€Excellent DOE Plus Pension, DIS, EAP, On-Site Counselling, 23 Days’ Holiday + 9 Statutory Days

If you are a certified IT professional seeking an exciting new challenge, this is a superb opportunity to take on a hands-on role with a forward-thinking business.

Our client is an outsourced contact centre company providing tailored solutions to businesses who, like them, believe in the importance of their customers. They consistently deliver an experience which challenges the standards of service and ensures customers who contact them feel valued and understood.

Now, our client is looking for an IT Systems & Network Administrator to join their IT Department in Waterford.

Placing their employees at the heart of everything they do, our client provides the ideal environment in which to develop your career and build upon your existing expertise.

As an IT Systems & Network Administrator, you will maintain and enhance our client’s core IT services, including network components, server infrastructure and peripheral device management.

Joining a hard-working team, you’ll fully support, configure, maintain and upgrade the company’s LAN/WAN and deployed servers in a Hyper-V and VMware environment.

As part of your role, you may be required to travel to sites in Clonmel, Wexford and Craigavon.

Your other duties will involve:

- Managing escalated IT issues and queries
- Ensuring network security and connectivity at all sites
- Managing backup and recovery software and methodologies
- Implementing group policies
- Administering Microsoft AD and MS Office 365
- Liaising with third party hardware and software support providers

To be considered, you’ll need:

- At least five years’ IT experience
- An IT industry certification, such as ITIL, Cisco, Windows or Linux
- A diploma, ideally a degree, in an IT related discipline
- A full, valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle

Self-motivated and enthusiastic, as an IT Systems & Network Administrator, you’ll have an analytical mindset and a great eye for detail. You’ll also be flexible, highly organised and able to effectively multi-task and prioritise your work.

Ideally, you’ll have experience of deploying, hosting and supporting large scale business application services, but this isn’t essential. Knowledge of Telco and contact centre environments would also be an advantage, as would experience of solution design.

Our client’s core business hours are Monday – Friday, 9:00 – 17:30. However, flexibility is key, as you may occasionally be required to work evenings and weekends to deliver the administration of key IT services.
