Systems Administrator Global Infrastructure Team
Systems administrator sought to join the team of an established EMEA hub in Dublin, the company a US service provider who develop innovative and leading edge solutions are in the process of building their development and operations team. The environment will be highly collaborative, dynamic and casual.
Overview of your responsibilities
* Design and implement infrastructure improvements to ensure optimal network and application performance and scalability
* Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware and software upgrades, and resource optimization as needed
* Design, develop and implement server and network solutions for key stakeholders
* Responsible for the monitoring, maintenance, and repair of the corporate environment verifying the integrity and availability of all server instances, server resources, systems and key processes
* Provide IT team members and support representatives with technical support and guidance
* Interface with IT team to ensure all system requirements are clearly defined, implemented and tested
* Build effective working relationships with team members
Required Skills:
* Solid background in windows infrastructure including AD, DNS protocols.
* Hands on experience managing email platforms
* Expertise in implementing and administering systems in a virtualized cloud environment such as AWS EC2, OpenStack, XenServer or VMware
* Experience in TCP/IP and Ethernet networking technologies
* Experienced in monitoring network and server performance using various tools such as Zenoss
* Expertise in optimizing server configurations for Rails, Passenger, Apache, Nginx and MySQL or Postgres environments
* Scripting experience with any of the following languages - Bash, Python, Ruby and/or Perl
Nice to have but not essential:
* Experience with OpenStack
* Experience with deployments tools such as Chef and Puppet or SaltStack.
* Experience with system load balancing, scalability and infrastructure automation
