My client, a Global Banking company based in Dublin City Centre is currently on the lookout for a Lead Java Developer for an initial 12 months contract. My client is an international intuition that allows employees to continuously learn and develop, providing opportunities to stretch professionally, facilitating new experiences, and harnessing the power of learning.
You should have strong analytical and technical ability to work into major initiatives associated with the Velocity Reporting platform. This includes the development of JSON based RESTful services, leveraging the Jasper Reports library to introduce new reporting features, and improving the scalability and throughput of the system as a whole.
Qualifications and Competencies
• The ideal Lead Java Developer should have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in core Java based web app and RESTful services development.
• Lead Java Developer with experience in Core Java and Java EE Web Application development.
• Some experience or reporting, ideally JasperReports, is advantageous.
• You as Lead Java Developer will have knowledge of Core Java, Spring, MongoDB, Multithreading/Concurrency, HTTP, REST, JSON, JasperReports, JDBC.
• Experience of developing Java web apps with Tomcat or WebSphere.
• Tools – well versed with Eclipse or IntelliJ; automated testing tools like JUnit, Cucumber/Gherkins; JIRA, Maven, Sonar
• Experience with MongoDB or Kafka advantageous.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills are required, with the ability to work with a team across multiple time zones.
