Application Support Engineer required for our Cork based Client. This is a fast paced, expanding company which offers huge scope for progression within the company. My Client develops a number of e-commerce web applications delivering a high-performance system to global users
This is a very hands-on position for someone who has strong applications experience and a technical aptitude with a keen interest in learning and improving new systems. This job is ideal for someone who likes to work and help shape the structure in a dynamic and fast paced environment
Responsibilities:
· Help provide Production Support for all operational applications, systems and software environments in an internal hosted infrastructure
· Handle issue queues and prioritise critical issues and keep those effected informed with regular updates
· Document standards, processes and procedures relating to best practices, issues
· and resolutions
· Utilise Jira, Slack, and other operational and collaboration tools to work with internal resources to provide timely incident/request response and support
Requirements:
· Have fundamental knowledge of Java (or Python) development
· Command line Linux skills for remote connection troubleshooting
· Hands-on proficiency in scripting languages such as SQL, Shell scripting
· Ability to distinguish between critical and non-critical issues
· Ability to work in a mission-critical environment
· Must be eligible to work in Ireland
· Be available for rotating shift / on-call coverage as needed (8-6pm / 1–11pm rotating shifts)
