2 Permanent Vacancies - 2 Senior Data Scientists (1 of which can be based in Dublin or Limerick.) We are recruiting for 2 separate companies but similar role ie. Senior Data Scientist.
Exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, successful, expanding software business with an industry leading B2B software product, used by enterprises across the globe.
Would you be interested in 1) joining an expanding team of Data specialists, working to create future versions of our client's award-winning software platform? OR 2) for the 2nd company, being the 1st & Lead Data Scientist in a new team, whereby you will initially be the only member, before building a Data Science team around you?
For either Data Scientist vacancy, you will have the opportunity to develop data science strategies to deliver expanding business results and revenue growth, engaging in market-leading analytics, machine learning, predictive modelling, developing algorithms and forecasting.
Your input & role will result in having a significant effect on creating better business insights, improved software platform performance, better understanding of customer needs and ultimately continued growth in trading performance.
Your role is recognised as a key component of the company's success & market expansion, including researching new product ideas and POC's (Proof of Concept) for both improving the existing software platform & creating additional product offerings.
Expertise required:
* High level Masters or PhD ideally in a relevant area (eg. Maths, Computer Science, Analytics, Engineering or Physics)
* 3+ years commercial experience in data science
* Python or R
* Expertise in creating algorithms, building API's for machine learning & applying statistical or quantitative analysis to deliver solutions to real-world business problems is essential
* Any knowledge of : Spark, Big Data technologies, Baysian methods, AWS technologies, SAAS would be desirable
* Commercial acumen and strong communication skills with the ability to work with both business & software development teams
We are not looking for a pure academic - commercial acumen, commercial experience (ideally in a software company) is required.
Salary: DOE + good benefits package
