itContracting are pleased to be partnering with our client, a leading financial services company in Dublin, in the hiring of a Head of Security Engineering to lead their regional security projects, activities and initiatives.
You will have key responsibility for among others the following:
* Leading key information and cyber security projects related to IT Systems and Infrastructure Security
* Leading and implementing business-wide security initiatives
* Providing security consultancy type activities such as security assessments, vulnerability and risk assessments, investigating emerging threats and participating in security audits
* Provide Subject Matter Expertise to the organisation up to board and stakeholder level
* Work with the wider business in communicating security projects and initiatives and potential impacts
* Leading security specialists and project resources
Experience:
* Degree educated or equivalent in a Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline
* A minimum of 5 years at a Senior management level with extensive Project Management experience
* Strong experience with a wide range of security practices, tools and technologies
* At least 5 years in a team leadership position with full DR responsibility for multi-functional teams in an enterprise environment
* Strong knowledge of infrastructure technologies from key vendors such as Cisco, Microsoft, VMWare. Good knowledge of Linux based systems is desirable.
* You should ideally have achieved a number of security qualifications such as CISA, CISM and/or CISSP as well as vendor certifications
* You will ideally have gained additional Project Management (PMP, Prince2) qualifications
This is a high visibility role working in a one of the largest and most well-developed Security centres in Ireland. You will be working in and leading multi-million euro projects at the highest levels.
