IT Job – ETL Analyst Programmer – 3xmonth daily rate contract – 400.00 euro per day, potential to be 6 to 12 months in length – Dublin city centre.
Our client is a well-known global financial services firm based in Dublin who have established a Data Analytics Laboratory.
The group works across a line of businesses and functions and with both project and technical teams, enabling the organisation to engage in the science of analysing raw data.
A new team was established last year to sit with the Data Analytics Laboratory to focus on the analysis, data lineage and mapping of client data systems. The Developer / Systems analyst will work on a team focused on applying data management techniques, tools and technologies to solve for business and data problems and to identify data issues and remediation solutions or process optimisation as part of our strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Data sourcing, discovery and analytics using a variety of tools, visualization and scripting
• Hands-on application of data modeling techniques to build data assets that provide transformative insight for business process improvement.
• Deliver high quality solutions through innovative design aligned with good development practices
• Creation of data processes that provide a platform for Reporting, Analytics and Business Process Enablement
• Deliver enhancements to and identify extended use cases for existing artefacts / assets
• Issue identification and analysis techniques, such as pattern analysis and root cause analysis, to help identify why issues occur and propose solutions.
You will have:
• 5+ years proven experience in data management / development
• Experience in big data environment or within a data management/warehousing
• Experience in business analysis and requirements/process definition
• Experience in a range of data analytics tools,
• Experience working in Global teams
• The ability to identify issues and propose solutions
• Experience working in a project/programme environment
• Preferably, experience with client/customer data in a large organisation
You will be:
• Educated to degree level (or overseas equivalent)
• Proficient in use of ETL (Pentaho, Informatica etc.), Business Intelligence tools
• Proficient in use of programming and/or query languages (Python, R, SQL)
• Innovative, creative, articulate and able to work directly with a broad range of stake holders
• Able to create visualisation solutions for presentation to and use by senior managers
• Able to demonstrate examples of previous successful deliveries
