TalentScope Recruitment Solutions on behalf of our client is seeking a Test Manager for a 6 month contract role in Co. Leitrim.
Based onsite you will have responsibility for a small Test Team.
This role has responsibility for the initiation, planning, leading and execution of a Test Programme. This role will ensure that testing of all change is performed in a thorough, consistent and controlled manner.
Key Responsibilities and Activities:
- Participate in Project Initiation and all inspections/reviews prior to testing phase, encouraging the use of Quality processes.
- Produce project Test Strategy, Test Approach, Schedules and Plans and support business users.
- Lead the execution of test cases and validate test outputs
- Provide guidance to other colleagues in testing processes and / or test tools
- Control the use of test environments to ensure integrity of test data and test results
- Ensure all relevant project metrics are recorded & collated
- Manage test team assuming overall responsibility for progress, issue resolution/ defect management, and deliverables.
- Contribute to post conversion reviews and continuous improvement of the testing processes and standards
Position Requirements:
- Extensive experience of testing processes, obtained through working on and leading test teams across a range of systems and platforms. Good knowledge of all relevant testing tools and technologies
- Very experienced in test planning and estimation. Ability to lead and co-ordinate test teams. Well-developed interpersonal skills.
- Proven experience and competence in testing techniques, disciplines, technology and standards
- Strong business process awareness and technical aptitude
- Good management and communication skills
- Create programme Test Approach and Test Schedules
- Represent test teams at formal programme reviews and participate in programme sign-off checkpoints
- Co-ordinate provision of support to business users during testing and pilot phases of project
