SSE Python – tackling the Dark Web
Recruiters are representing a hot new US company developing a new software development centre here in Dublin and looking for a team of software engineers to work on their flagship product. The product delivers risk intelligence for enterprise customers globally to empower them to make better decisions and mitigate risk. They have unique access and systems to penetrate the deep & dark web (99% of the net) and their expertise and technology enable customers to glean intelligence that informs risk and protects them from Fraud and attack. Fortune 500 and government customers utilize their services and products to bolstering cybersecurity, confront fraud, detecting insider threats, enhance physical security at times and it’s also used for assessing Mergers and Acquisitions activities. It can be used for assessing vendor risk and supply chain integrity by examining close partners and suppliers.
In this role you will work as part of an engineering group of 30 people globally - 2 in Ireland currently and growing. Based in Dublin city centre offices, dialling in for Sprints etc, you will be working on cutting edge product development for their web data analysis platform. You will help build and maintain the platform by constantly adding new data sources, analytics, and interface enhancements and drive architectural best practices and process improvements. You will contribute to the software product development process and participate in code reviews and ensure your code is properly tested before being deployed. You will document your projects thoroughly enough to make them maintainable by others and help bring in new technologies and develop innovative approaches.
You?
You will have great qualifications in software engineering and at least 8 years of delivering production software in a SaaS environment and experience within Agile, excellent systems analytical, problem solving and technical skills and more than 4 years with Python being the main language you have used, building and using RESTful web services using Python frameworks and have experience with relational, NoSQL, and graph datastores. They use Docket also for deployments. If you have experience developing security tools or any type of security oriented products – this will be a big advantage, as will experience building, maintaining or using big data streaming infrastructure (Kafka, HDFS, etc.) Strong written and verbal English communication skills
€75K circa and some benefits as they get established
