Technical project manager required to join a large financial services company in Dublin city centre who require a project manager to join their team delivering operations and technology transformation initiatives to provide an efficient and cost effective platform in support of the business processes
The technical Project manager will be responsible for all technology components of the development and implementation of our clients multiple, major highly complex operational and technology transformational projects and the monitoring of the successful delivery of benefits.
Technical project manager responsibilities:
• Responsible for all technology components of the development and implementation of major/multiple/highly complex projects; manage enterprise wide projects.
• Responsible for managing the project budget.
• Develops detailed IT work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans and status reports.
• Delivers quality artefacts.
• Provides IT strategic direction for projects managed.
• Sets guidelines for appropriate staffing requirements to meet operational needs.
• Manage and influence multiple IT project leadership teams.
• Exercise control over resources, budget management and planning; accountable for end results.
• Applies in-depth understanding of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issues that have impact beyond own area.
• Ensures essential procedures are followed and compliant with company standards.
• Demonstrates an in-depth understanding of how IT project leadership integrates within the overall technology function to achieve objectives; requires a good understanding of the industry.
• Provides evaluative judgment based on analysis of factual information in complicated, unique and dynamic situations; draws on diverse range of internal and external sources.
• Influences and negotiates with senior leaders (across functions); may communicate with external parties

Skills required:
• 5years +experience of delivering complex technical projects preferably within financial services.
• Formal project management qualification – PMP / PgMP preferred.
• Familiar with all phases of the SDLC and strong technical background with ability to come up to speed and understand new technologies quickly.
• Able to work as part of a virtual team in a culturally diverse background.
