Network Telecom Services (Team Leader)

Our client is a leading international IT Services Company. Due to continued growth, they have a requirement for a Network Telecom Services Team Leader onsite with one of their key clients. This will be a permanent job based in Kildare.

Suitable applicants will be CCNA Certified and will support network and telephony incidents and requests on a large scale (as well as participating in and leading project based activity).

* Will possess excellent written and communication skills and be willing to collaborate effectively and efficiently with wider IT support teams.
* Will lead a team of 8, adhering to established Service Level Agreements (SLA's)

Duties will include:

* Suitable applicants will be required to to analyse and troubleshoot network and telecoms problems up to an intermediate level (1st and 2nd Line support)
* As part of Team Lead responsibilities - will be required to plan and schedule daily tasks according to priority and severity; Use sound judgment on a variety of problems requiring deviation from standard practices; Use initiative to provide a quality solution and service to the customer
* Maintain switched network environments and troubleshoot/diagnose WLAN Issues and escalate to 2nd Level Support (if required)
* Ensure that all incidents and requests are logged, resolved and the tickets correctly closed in the site's Event Management System
* Work with your team to endeavour to fix and close all calls assigned to the Telecoms & Networks queues within agreed SLA
* Participate in Project based assignments (as required)
* Support Asset Management audits and reconciliation activities

Other Duties:

* Attend all daily morning Ops meetings
* Act as a technical escalation point
* Act as a technical mentor to team
* Responsible for performance management of team
* Keep team members up-to-date on process changes (ensuring processes are implemented as required)
* Weekly reporting and produce minutes of meetings

Must Have Skills and Qualifications:

* Suitable applicants will have at least 2-3 years' experience in a large organisation is essential
* Will be Cisco CCNA Certified (Essential)
* Experience of Cisco equipment
* Experience in LAN/WAN environments and passive infrastructure
* Experience Protocols: High Availability/Redundancy, LACP, PAgP, HSRP, EIGRP, LLDP etc.
* Willingness to work at irregular hours
* Will have Leadership Qualities, Team Organiser
* Customer focus
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Strong ability to adhere to processes and procedures
