The Senior VDI Architect / Administrator will provide Citrix\VDI administration as well as engineering and architectural expertise for systems globally. The Senior Administrator will be responsible for ensuring that systems are functioning properly, within the design and security specifications established by IT, and that all applicable policies, processes, and procedures are properly communicated and followed.

Primary Responsibilities

* Partner with the global infrastructure team to lead the design of thin-client environments

* Support our thin client installations, where necessary providing level 2 and level 3 support to our operations units both inside and outside of Ireland

* Lead exercises to troubleshoot and optimize our thin-client environments

* Coordinate the input of service providers and partners to ensure delivery and support of key systems

* Partner with applications, platform, infrastructure and applications teams to design and build environments to best deliver our business functionality across the company

* At all times maintain the compliant status of our systems - ensuring the maintenance of the qualified state of all appropriate systems and compliant practices throughout the applications portfolio

* Liaise and partner extensively with the various support functions in the successful transition of developed solutions into BAU running mode

* Extensive experience with Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop.
o Architecture and design of XenApp/XenDesktop environments, including design and delivery of high-availability services for 3,000+ users
