Our Global Software Development Client is looking for an experienced and technically skilled Business and Software Analyst in Cork.
Job Description:
Main Responsibilities / Duties:
- Define detailed functional and technical specifications required to business requirements for programs, projects and releases
- Communicate design, functional and technical specifications to team
- Provide solution planning and estimation of programs and projects
- Complete tasks, reporting status and assignments in a timely fashion
- Perform data analysis in support of ad-hoc needs and business projects, including working with application teams to determine best options/solutions
- Passion for learning new technologies and eagerness to collaborate with other creative minds
Principle Accountabilities
- Analytical Capability Development
- Assure the effective delivery of reports/information through the use of best methods, repeatable processes, technology & internal partnerships
- Manage resource allocation and project management across multi-disciplinary projects
- Ensure on-going knowledge management by documenting work instructions, data sources & report logic
- Contribute to the supply chain analytical capability strategy
- Complete SCOR and S95 metric assessment and analysis of data across the
- system landscape(ERP and MES systems)
Operational Support
- Drive change in business processes through the use of advanced analytics in collaboration with cross-functional supply chain teams.
- Use analytical & quantitative methods to understand, predict & enhance supply chain performance
- Gather & analyse data to solve complex problems & evaluate scenarios to make predictions on future outcomes & support decision making
Role:
Qualifications, Experience / Skills:
- 3+ years’ Business Intelligence experience in enterprise environment
- 3 + years’ experience in design & development of data centric solution leveraging data from enterprise data warehouses
- Demonstrate superior persuasion and influencing skills that ensure alignment between internal customer and development teams both within and outside of Data Management team
- Good knowledge of relational database concepts including normalization, data profiling and ability to interpret entity relationship diagrams
- Excellent BI project management and analysis skills as demonstrated by having led, designed and implemented successful projects
- Excellent ability in analysing complex and large volume data set using appropriate tools
- Ability to write basic SQL queries to perform simple data pulls and analysis
- Working knowledge of Modern BI Platforms such as Tableau, Spotfire or QlikView
- Ability to create & manage project plans, and effectively manage project accordingly
- Ability to clearly articulate creative ideas and provide project update to senior leaders
- Ability to acquire in-depth understanding of complex business domains and educate team members
- Ability to hit tight deadlines and work under pressure
- Ability to reason through complex situations with strength in identifying and mitigating risks.
- Ability to build / maintain strong relationships, effectively partner with peers, and possess excellent verbal / written communication skills
- Demonstrate creativity designing data visualizations to describe business case scenarios using business process generated data
- Data extraction, manipulation & reporting particularly querying large, complex data sets. Using of IS/reporting tools / MIS / Database Design & advanced skill levels of MS Excel, MS Access
- Knowledge of MS SQL SERVER and PL/SQL would be an advantage
- SQL query and script written experience highly desirable
