Senior IT Engineer - Cork

The Role

My Cork based client, that is one of Ireland's leading IT Support & Consultancy based services is current looking to appoint a Senior IT Engineer. You will have had previously experience dealing with medium sized to large multinational companies. This company prides themselves on their customer relationship and professional approach.

You will primarily be responsible for the maintenance of all systems both physical and virtualised servers acting as a senior point of escalation for all 3rd level support issues.
The role will require you to be flexible on travelling to customer sites.

You will have:

* At least 5-7 years experience in an IT role or similar which will include client facing.
* A degree in computer science or equivalent.
* Professional certifications such as MCSE, CCNA, VCP.
* 4+ years experience working with virtualization such as VMware.
* Professional certifications such as VMware, Microsoft etc
* Experience in designing solutions to meet the client needs and being able to explain to non-technical individuals.
* Excellent troubleshooting skills across all platforms.
