Senior Network Engineer required for an expanding wholesale fibre optic infrastructure provider based in Limerick.

This role will suit a senior network engineer with an expert knowledge of networking concepts and theory. The role will cover both high level operational network support but also ad hoc project work, so the successful person should have a track record of successful technical project execution (ideally in a service provider)

Responsibilities:

·         End-to-end design, planning, implementation and support of internal and customer network solutions

·         Configuration, management and troubleshooting of network related issues

·         Provide high level operational network support

·         Support day-to-day managed firewall administration

·         Drive standards and policies across the network

·         Act as an escalation point in rotating third level on call support schedule

Requirements

·         Strong knowledge and experience of Juniper & Nokia/Alcatel Lucent or Cisco routers and switches

·         Experience with routing protocols, specifically BGP and preferably iBGP and eBGP also

·         Professional certification such as JNCIP / NRSII / CCNP etc

·         Experience with the following protocols and concepts: TCP/IP, UDP, NAT, QoS, HSRP/VRRP/GLBP, DNS, ARP, HTTP/HTTPS, SNMP, SSL, IPsec and TLS

·         Track record of successful technical project execution ideally in a service provider

·         Fluent in written and spoken English

·         Eligibility to work in Ireland

Remuneration:

·         Starting: 65 – 60K

·         10% Bonus

·         8% Pension

·         On-call bonus
