Our leading software development company is looking for experienced IT Specialist.

The successful candidate will support the day to day and strategic Technology requirements of the office, as well as any required remote IT support for Engineers seconded to Client sites. This will cover the remit of service for laptops, core office IT Infrastructure, Applications as well as ensuring IT standards, policies and procedures are implemented and maintained.


Main Tasks

Laptops, Phones, Printers, Visual Displays

  • Ensure laptop setup with required tools such as Zoolz, Symantec AV, and correct domain credentials.
  • Ensure periodic health checks are completed to ensure laptops are performant and compliant
  • Complete Mobile Phones set up for personnel with access to email, MDM.Troubleshoot any issues identified
  • Ensure all office printers are consistently operational and regularly maintained
  • Device Management – Asset Tracking for all equipment, appropriate disposal for end of life equipment
    • Maintains all meeting room and reception areaAV displays to ensure functioning at all times

Infrastructure

  • Active Directory group policy management/User account management
  • Network support – Switches, Firewalls, Routers, PABX/Internal Phone system, cabling and internet availability uptime during normal business hours of operation
  • Email – account management ofSharePoint – Administration
  • Storage and Virtual ESX environmentmanagement
  • Backups – Veeam and Zoolz to be managed and tracked accordingly
  • Symantec and Microsoft upgrades to be managed appropriately across all Server infrastructure
  • Data Centre rooms – Appropriately managed in terms of Power, Cooling, Cabling, Layout and Ergonomics and Documentation

Procedures

  • Develop work instructionsfor Administration of all key services as an IT Specialist
  • Develop policies to ensure adherence of all personnel to correct usage of Technology
  • Develop standards for Platform upgradesallowing for Lifecycle Management of existing Infrastructure

Improvements to be implemented

  • Develop a ticketing system for tracking and closing all IT requests along with a metrics system demonstrating acceptable performance for a ticket closure
  • Develop a sustained Platform upgrade plan in agreement with Management for critical Technology and application systems
  • Develop a model for Disaster Recovery across critical Company’s Technology and application systems
  • Develops an approach to security management for systems/personnel in line with ISO:27001 standardand supports implementation in conjunction with Manager
  • Implementation of Office 365 across the Organisation

  Manager and Snr. Management on areas of technology concern
• Ability to work as a team member but can also work alone,

   compliance with Technology systems and standards
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required
