Oracle DBA
PFH is looking to recruit an Oracle DBA for our Cork based client:-
Requirements for the role
- Excellent understanding of Oracle database’s
- A good understanding of the underlying operating system including Linux and UNIX Solaris SPARC and x86
- A good knowledge of database design.
- Exceptional ability to perform both Oracle and operating system performance tuning and monitoring
- Knowledge of ALL Oracle backup and recovery scenarios
- A good knowledge of Oracle security management
- A good knowledge Oracle data integrity
- Experience in code migration, database change management and data management through the various stages of the development life cycle
- The DBA should have sound communication skills with management, development teams, vendors and systems administrators and ability to understand his/her audience to communicate properly and effectively
- The DBA should have the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines and work independently
- The DBA should possess a sound understanding of the business
DBA Qualifications
- May be certified as an Oracle DBA.
- Preferably a BS in computer science or related engineering field
- Lots and lots of EXPERIENCE as an Operational Database Administrator
