Responsibilities of the role include:
• Work with the team on both application and print design projects
• You will work alongside our development team on web, mobile and client application projects
• Using our established Brand and Style Guide, assist in the development of existing and new visual materials over time, including:
• Website - visual design updates to our existing site as needed
• Mobile App – user journey and screen designs for a new Mobile App
• Console interfaces - revamp look-and-feel of existing in-store interfaces
• Printed items - diverse small print items such as business cards, letterheads, flyers, and stickers
• Developing a library of frames and images
• Ownership - Own the design of all materials, including online and offline advertising and application elements
General requirements for the role:
• Degree or diploma in graphic/digital design, with a focus on user experience
• A strong portfolio showcasing your creativity (website or PDF document with links)
• At least 2 years’ experience working in a professional design environment
• Great typographic, layout and image-making skills both for online and print
• Great communication skills, both verbal and written
• Self-motivated and proactive
Must-have skills:
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and Illustrator. InDesign would also be advantageous
• Experience designing websites, including Mobile-First and Responsive Design principles
• Understanding of the web development process (HTML5, CSS3) and experience collaborating with developers is important. You will not be expected to code, but need some knowledge of the medium for which you are designing
• Some experience of working with printers, and the print process. Attention to detail - for carrying out QA on implemented design work with developers, and checking over final materials from printers
